Holistic Healing

The Truth--It is all in there.

Every person is creating their own unfolding experience of life, in every moment of every day.
The process by which life experiences are generated translates to projecting stored subconscious images expectations onto today's reality. We have to learn to follow the inner teacher who is the guide to that massive thoughts, hopes, dreams, fears, expectations, terrors, aspirations, memories, desires, knowledge, skill, and genius stored in the huge warehouse of our subconscious.Absolutely no one outside oneself ever has - or ever could have - full access to your truth and your path. Self-revelation is required to connect each person with missing (subconsciously concealed) aspects of ones own identity. These self-pieces are missing usually because of past-life trauma. It is often necessary to experience some pain of the old trauma as the pieces come back to light.
One of the major vehicles for self-realization in the modern world is the intensity of relationships. The threat of starving to death has receded for a big portion of the world's population, so now we are privileged to move into a new level of pain: anxiety, fearful worrying, and psycho-emotional suffering!
Humans are a complex entity. Gathering all of the pieces takes reflective time and study, as well as some tolerance for emotional pain. If you have the courage to work through it, using the map of the Jyotisha (and any other reflective tools which may provide intuitive guidance) it is possible to make great progress in reclaiming the lost parts of one's identity.

Healing is essentially about change. Change has to occur on all levels of our being in order to be considered a holistic healing process. Healing requires lasting physical changes, lifestyle changes, changes in our beliefs and attitudes and changes and changes in our awareness.

Have you ever wondered what makes some people so brilliant at 'change'?

Change is a process born from desire. Desire is more than just wanting something. A true desire is fuelled by passion and willingness to go beyond your comfort zone to get what you want.

When you desire something it's important to know why. In this case, be honest, why do you want to be healed? Some people want to be physically healed because they feel guilty for burdening others, or to cover up the true feelings behind their illness. There are two things to remember about desire:

Your desire needs to be your own, of your own volition, for yourself, regardless of anybody else's presence or influence in your life; and
You need to feel good about your desire. If it's born from guilt or you judge it to be bad in some way, it will not feel good and you will not get a good result.
Based on your desire, you make a choice to pursue the desire or not. If your desire is pure and fuelled by passion, not fear, you will find the choice to proceed is simple. If you have trouble making a choice, take a harder look at your desire for change.

The Pre-Healing Checklist - Am I ready to begin?
You will know that you are ready to commence your holistic healing journey (in fact, you already have!) once you can complete this checklist:

You have all the available knowledge about your physical condition: its physical cause/s, influencing factors and viable treatments.
You have already taken physical action in relation to your holistic healing process. This may be in the form of medical or other treatment, choosing a physical lifestyle conducive to healing or other changes in your physical circumstances that may inhibit your healing process.
You know you need to change your beliefs and attitudes.
You are willing to change specific behaviours that do not uphold an optimal state of health.
You are prepared to change how you handle your feelings.
You have chosen to be a 'person of today', here and now, and not of the past.
You are willing to ask for assistance or support when you need it.
You know you have the power to heal yourself. You are prepared to use the power of your soul to create your health.
You have refocused your life and lifestyle towards health and healing.
You see your state of health as an opportunity for growth and learning. You accept that it was necessary to bring your attention to aspects of yourself that require holistic healing.
You are willing to find the root cause of your physical condition by exploring physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of your life.

The Mind Body Connection
Why am I in the shape I am in?

There are many factors that make us all unique in our physical appearance. Our physical constitution is created something like this...

Genetic traits from the family bloodline

+ Physical activity

+ Environmental and social conditions

+ Nutrition and economical status

+ Mental and emotional activity and interaction

= Our physical state

Much of society is focused on the first four factors in this equation. The final and highly influential factor - our emotional and mental state - is the basis of the mind-body connection.

The Mind-Body Connection - How does it work?
The word psychosomatic (psyche-soma) means mind-body. It refers to the connection between the body and the mind.

The mind-body connection is based on the principle that the nature of the mind is reflected in the state of the body. It explains why every body is different. No two minds are the same and neither will you find two bodies the same.

Even identical twins are more alike at birth than any other time in their lives. Why? Because as they develop their own unique personalities and their bodies change to reflect their individual state of mind.

When we heal the body, through balancing the mind-body connection, we call it psychosomatic healing.

The Process - How Does Psychosomatic Healing Work?
Psychosomatic healing, like many other healing therapies, is based on the principle that awareness of our patterns of behaviour sparks a change in our attitudes. An overview of the psychosomatic healing process looks something like this:

Analysis of the body's shape and characteristics brings...
Awareness of certain mental and emotional tendencies which leads to...
Insights about our character and why we do the things we do which sparks...
Change in our attitudes and behaviours.
There are tell-tale signs in your structure, posture and build that give away how you have experienced life. A trained eye can tell why you are in the shape you are in...

Using the Mind-Body Connection to Heal - What is Psychosomatic Therapy?
Psychosomatic therapy uses the principles of mind-body connection to bring our attention to physical traits that have been caused by repetitive thought and emotional patterns over time. It is designed to increase self-awareness and facilitate the healing processes by offering constructive ways to influence mind-body balance.

Take a look at how these emotions affect different aspects of the physical body:

A psychosomatic therapist is equipped to bring our awareness to the state of our body-mind. During a psychosomatic therapy session, various aspects of the body are examined to provide an insight into a person's emotional and mental tendencies including:

Each major area of the body and its relation to other areasThe balance of male-female energy

Patterns of energy flow through the chakras including any blockages that inhibit this flow

Posture and body language

Breathing patterns

Quality, quantity and distribution of body tissue, skin and muscle

The condition of the major chakras

Overall body type and structure
Each aspect of the body is analysed according to the principles of the mind-body connection to give an overall personality profile. In other words, the body reveals how our strengths and weaknesses affect how we tend to experience life - the good, bad and the ugly!

Once the therapist has a basic understanding of the person's emotional and mental tendencies, he or she teaches constructive ways to use these strengths and weaknesses to improve our overall life experience.
